Transform into ghouls, groms, and monsters alike! We invite all members of the community to dawn their spookiest, silliest, or most creative costumes as they catch waves and showcase their surfing prowess. From Ghoulie Groms to Midlife Monsters, every age division is welcomed with open arms. The event is free to all participants and attendees and includes giveaways, and fun things to do this season and in turn, serves as a unique fundraising opportunity for our beneficiary, the Gulf Guardians, a local, education-based, 501c3.
Ohana-ween is a free event brought to you by generous business sponsors and members like you. In addition to themed inspired contests and events, Ohana-ween will host an effort to serve our residents and public in a unique way. The success of these events allows us to raise much-needed funds to support the initiatives that will help keep our beaches clean and implement educational programs that will inform the general public and our island’s youth through environmental education workshops in the fall of 2023.
These efforts will enhance collective action toward addressing our local and global environmental challenges as well as provide an outstanding opportunity for citizens, visitors, and future generations to connect with the natural world in a variety of settings and experiences. So join us as we celebrate our 3rd Annual Ohana-Ween Surf & Costume Contest for a cause. Ohana-Ween is not just an event; it's a movement toward a more connected, caring, and conscious community. Let's ride the waves of change together and create a legacy that echoes the spirit of Ohana for generations to
